I have mentioned some different directories over the past few weeks. These directories are great because of the way they organize the content on their websites. Its very easy to search and find information on the directories noted earlier.
A new directory that I recently noticed is called bigweblinks.com. Its resembles the other directories in that the websites are listed in categories. The site is somewhat new so all the categories do not have hundreds of listings but everyday more information appears so its longterm growth is looking great.
What is different with this directory is that it allows the owners of websites more control over how their site appears on the bigweblinks.com website. You can pay slightly more than every other website owner and your lsiting will appear higher.
While some people might wonder about the exchange of cash and the ranking, really what is different than what bigweblinks.com is doing and any company that sells search engine results listings. If you use any of the large search engines you’ll notice all the paid listing that appear on the results pages. Some of the paid listings appear above the organic searched results. So having paid results appear first appears to be quite common in the old search game. This new directory is just the latest addition to the marketplace and I’m sure it’ll do well over the next few years.
