Oh the winter season has just started and already the storms are hitting home. Well maybe not my home directly but my brother’s home in Sackville Nova Scotia. All along the coast of Nova Scotia folks are still cleaning up after Noel.
The storm worked its way up from the south and just smacked all of Nova Scotia. Thousands of homes lost power when the storm knocked down trees that than knocked out the power. Those Nova Scotia power folks couldn’t handle the repairs and they had to call in help from Quebec and Maine.
So why do I care? Its the stress thats coming over the phone lines. The relatives just opened a shop in Sackville. Needless to say not to many stores in the old Sackville Business Directory are racking up the sales this week. Actually thats not true. The hardware stores are doing fine according to all reports. So if you’re looking to buy something online or even better if you’re driving out in Nova Scotia this week make sure you check out all the Sackville Businesses this week. They need some help but please don’t bring along any of those new United States pesos. They need some real Canadian money in Nova Scotia.
