No more ghosts Scooby

March 4th, 2007 · No Comments

Anyone with kids is likely surprised by the return of one of TV’s fav canine. I can’t believe it myself but Scooby Doo is popular again with kids. I’ve started to see kids wearing his branded clothing and my kids love the stuff.

One thing is that all most all the stories involve ghost stories or vampires. The best episodes involve ghosts and haunted house themes. Just finished watching one of the households fav episodes A Gaggle of Galloping Ghosts.

To extend upon Scooby’s scary stories I’ve have been trying to find some real true ghost stories to amuse my kids.

Unfortunately some of the stories that I’ve found are a little bit to good since they have been giving me the creeps.

Sure a grown man is not supposed to believe in ghosts. It all can be explained by science and as we all know science is the answer, right. But what happens when you start to apply science to the study of ghosts.

Electronic voice phenomenon involves the use of science to help solve one ghostly experience. When Thomas Edison is attached to the study of this particular science I really start to wonder what the hell is going on. Can someone really develop something to understand this ghostly mystery.

Another common ghostly theme is the whole genre of poltergeists. They have been quite popular with early grade school kids since they are involved in the plot of Harry Potter novels. Its interesting to think that the Harry Potter fans will have a totally different feeling towards the whole poltergeist experience when you compare it to someone who was introduced to them by the Poltergeists movie. Two very different first impressions.
