Well I’ve been dragged into another super support domestic hell project for a buddy of mine. In the past I’ve been used and abused trying to help someone out in the wedding ring purchase department. Don’t know why I’m always getting called. Just because I have a wife does not mean that I know anything about jewelry.
This time I was trying to help in the purchase of a pearl necklace for my buddy’s special someone. The worst thing about the whole situation is that my wife would kill me if she knew that I was looking at buying some jewelry. I’d get killed because I was not coming home with a box for her.
Well the search started with the usually shops around town. Luckily I had done some online research about the different types of jewelry before we started out on the road.
I discovered that fashion does come around again in the jewelry department and that turquoise jewelry was again back in fashion. I’m sure it would look good with the right clothing combo but it looks way to retro for my liking.
Another jewelry item that appears to have become popular again is coral jewelry. The upside to coral jewelry is the wide range of prices that you can find for the various items. Plus it looks like a nice medium between the total retro look and more modern design tastes. It might even make its way into my house if I find myself needing to get out of trouble in the near future.
