Well you may remember that I was complaining about my mouse catching cats earlier in the week. They had puked up on the carpet. Actually they had messed up the carpet more than once so it was looking pretty rough. I got a carpet cleaning guy in to check out the situation.
This guy was honest which was great. He said I could steam the carpet all day long but the stain would likely still show up.
He suggested that I try some carpet dye on the bigger stains. I hadn’t really know about this stuff so it was great that the guy mentioned it to me. Saved me some bucks. He must have looked at my two kids who choose his visit to start some singing contest and decided to show some mercy.
He explained that if I matched the carpet colour correctly that the stain would be almost invisible. I’d have to select from various carpet dyes to make sure I got the right colour. Sure he’d be able to spot it but most people would never notice. Adding the right placement of some furniture would help the process.
I was thinking that he was angling for work on the side but no, he said that I could order all the carpet cleaning stuff and do it myself. I might not want my two assistants on hand but I should be able to handle the job. He also suggested that I order some dye chemicals that can take care of the pet ordor. Apparently my cats have made the carpet stink and not just dirty. I’ll make sure that anything that I order has some deodorizer. I thought my buddy was joking when he said that the house smelled like cat piss. Apparently not.
